NOTE: The Hack-A-Thon on Leap Day is being rescheduled. We are looking to host the Hack-A-Thon at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science Fall 2020. Stay tuned.
Did you know the world needs to be hacked… and soon? Today’s world doesn’t support autistics. It needs to change to truly accept those who think and create differently.
Come be a part of a unique event where we work to create ideas and take action on them – all in a single day.
National data shows that the majority of people with autism are underemployed or unemployed. And 85% of autistic college graduates are unemployed, compared to the national average of 3.6%. There is a whole community of untapped talent and significant contributions that we are missing out on.
What is different about this Hack-A-Thon?
No speakers. You, me, autistics, therapists, company leaders, HR team members, makers, families and more. We will be hearing the big problems and working together to innovate solutions. A trained team will lead us through an ideation process where we will create key ideas with actionable next steps to begin changing the world in 2020.
This is a one-of-a-kind brainstorming and networking event.
We know radical change can happen when we gather people from diverse backgrounds and neurodiverse perspectives together to hack the world for autism.
We need your unique perspective and experience to help shape the conversation.

Could you please tell me if the Hack-A-Thon is geared toward children with Autism ?? Or adults with Autism?? Thank you!!
We've structured the hack-a-thon to be something that both adults and kids can participate. The Hack-A-Thon Challenge is aimed at teams of students solving this years challenge: Create a system to help with independent life skills You can check out more on at: https://hackingautism.org/all-project-list/2016-hack-a-thon-challenge/
I am so excited to attend on behalf of Madison House Autism Foundation!
We need more active help with socializing as adults. we need many things that kids are getting today that we never got. We also need details on minute levels for everything others make assumptions then do no problems. Try to remember our propensity for literal and we make no assumptions. Our difficulties are mainly blending any inputs to even make assumptions with minute chance of being right.

when is the next session???
I just heard about this as my 20/yo old is newly diagnosed & I’m still trying to navigate what resources are available. It looks like I found out too late because the registration page is no longer available. Is there a waiting list or cancellation list I can get on? This is exactly what I’ve been searching for for my son & if there’s anyway we could attend, I’d be so grateful! Thank you!! Amy (& son Sam)
Thanks for your comment. Note: The Leap Day Hack-A-Thon had to be re-scheduled because of the scheduling conflict.
